20th Century Studios (or Twentieth Century Studios) is one of the major american movie studios. During the production of a majority of the X-Men films the studio was a subsidiary of News Corporation, the media conglomerate controlled by Rupert Murdoch. In 2019, it was purchased by Disney, which owns the film rights to the rest of the Marvel characters other than Spider-Man.
