Onslaught: Although he founded the X-Men, Charles Xavier has come the closest to destroying them. On two occasions, the evil side of Xavier's psyche has briefly manifested itself a seperate astral being. Onslaught was created from the dark side of Xavier. Onslaught used an army of sentinels to take control of Manhattan. This was his first step of punishing humanity for it's oppresion of mutants. Deadly and all-powerful, Onslaught remains one of the more powerful mutants.
