X-Men, also known as X-Men: The Animated Series, is an animated television series that originally aired from 1992 to 1997 on Fox as part of the Fox Kids programming block. This is the first successful attempt at animating X-Men, following the failed Pryde of the X-Men pilot three years prior.

The team's line-up was inspired by Cyclops' Blue team from X-Men comics during the '90s era. Most of the uniforms are identical as well. While the series featured original stories, many of the episodes loosely adapted storylines from the X-Men comics, such as "Days of Future Past" and the "Dark Phoenix Saga". It also crossed over with the 1994 Spider-Man animated series on occasion, establishing the two shows as existing in the same continuity.

On modern merchandise, the show is referred to as X-Men '92. Despite its immense popularity it has yet to be remastered on blu-ray. The production team expressed disappoint in never being cunsulted on the episode order for home video in the book Previously on X-Men: The Making of an Animated Series, as well a complete lack of bonus features or commentary tracks.
